I may have gotten a little older now, but there was a time when I absolutely loved hidden object games. Even now when I have a bunch of kids over, I boot one of the best hidden object games for Android and watch them play. Long story short, these games are perfect party games for kids if you want your Android device to survive.
Hidden object games for Android come in various forms and sizes. Some of them are grand in scope while some hide the objects cleverly. But one thing is common in all of them; they are incredibly rewarding. Sure you will get frustrated when you can’t find one simple thing, but when you do find it, it is an amazing experience. I highly recommend these games to parents as these games develop fast thinking and cognitive abilities in kids. You can also take a look at the best games for children list for more games as well.
Note: The best hidden object games on Android were tested on a Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone. The apps worked fine during the testing, and no problems were faced. Some of the games will require an active internet connection to work. The apps are arranged according to my personal liking, however, all of them are amazing.
Hidden Object: Mystery Estate
Hidden Object: Mystery Estate is a great looking game. That much is evident the moment you boot up the game. The game has an exceptional introduction and guide. It actually eases the players into the game.
There are a lot of scenes to explore, buildings to expand the town and characters to meet. Some of the missions at the beginning of the game are there to help you with increasing your level.
As if figuring out the hidden object part of the game isn’t challenging enough, there is another town management game hidden inside the hidden object game here. You can build an impressive estate with unique buildings in the game.
Something I noticed about the game is the option to turn off in-app purchases. Being able to turn off the purchasing option means your kids won’t be able to spend hundreds of dollars on the app only before you see the bill.Show Downloads
Escape The Ghost Town
The game has a pretty self-explanatory name. Tasked with escaping the ghost town, you will need to use your wits and intelligence. There are a lot of puzzles you can solve and a wealth of hidden objects you need to find in this quest. The game provides some great puzzles, and it can be listed in the best puzzle games for Android as well.
However, all is not well in the ghost town; full-screen pop-up ads haunt this otherwise great game. There is also an omnipresent ad placed at the bottom of the screen that is rather distracting. If you can look past these flaws, there is a great game hiding beneath all the ads.Show Downloads
Hidden Artifacts:Hidden Object
This free hidden object game for Android comes with 6 separate cases. There are a lot of hidden object scenes in each of the cases that you can solve. The art style is great for a hidden object game.
Many hidden object games ask an actual artist to draw a picture and then manually add the objects we need to find. While this may not be obvious to many people but those who possess keen insight into art will spot the objects.
Hidden Artifacts: Hidden Object makes the objects blend into the scene perfectly. I had a hard time locating some of the objects in the game. The game makes you an agent that is pretty awesome in my books.
However the free to play model dampens the impact the game could have. The energy that is given in time will end real quickly, and you will have to wait for it to recharge.Show Downloads
100 Doors Seasons 2
Back in the days I used to knock on random doors and run away. I couldn’t have predicted a future where the doors came to knock me down. There are a lot of 100 Door games on the Google Play Store, but this one has some of the best looking visuals I have seen in a long while.
The game is a simple brain teasing game for Android. There are doors, and there are puzzles that need to be solved. You can do that by finding hidden objects and solving the puzzles. After you pass each door, you will be rewarded coins that then can be exchanged to purchase hints.
I recommend you take a go at the game without using any hints, it will make for a great experience. I admit, I had to use the easy way out a few times, though.Show Downloads
Can You Escape – Tower
This one is not exactly a perfect hidden object game; it is more of a mixture between two genres. However, there are some hidden object elements involved in the game making it a perfect candidate for this list. There are different levels to the “Tower” included in the game, and you have to escape from all of them.
The real question is, Can You Escape?
The game presents hints in the form of a video that you watch. You will need to find key objects to advance through the floors. There are 18 rooms available for you to enjoy at the moment. The developer promises more, but I wouldn’t hold on for them.Show Downloads
I’m used to playing episodic games on PC; Life Is Strange is one of my favorites this year. Agent Alice introduced me to an episodic Android game for the very first time. I have to say, I am very impressed with how well the game works.
You will be joining Agent Alice Wallace in solving numerous crimes by finding hidden objects and clues. There will be a new case every week which is fascinating.
This is not just a hidden object game, though, there are timed matchmaking and spot the difference features involved as well. The best thing is the 60’s vibe that the game has going for it. The swinging 60’s has the game a lot more atmospheric than the rest in my opinion.Show Downloads
Adventure Escape: Murder Manor
Imagine being invited to a big manor for dinner. Now imagine a guest getting murdered during dinner. This is the exact premise of Adventure Escape: Murder Manor. The game tastes you with solving the murder which took place in the manor by…you guessed it, finding hidden objects!
The game has good looking 2D graphics that bring out the creepiness of the manor out. There are 9 chapters which you can play completely free. You can also gather tools and items that will aid you in the escape.
One of the best things about this hidden object game for Android is how funny the story is. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously which only adds to the charm of the game. Think of a goofy B-rated movie and you will get the idea.Show Downloads
This is a game solely for the kids in your life. The game is extremely easy and will help in developing recognition abilities in little children. There are several modes you can play and will keep the game fun for a very long time.
The game comes with 150 well-designed puzzle levels that are great to keep the kids off your hair for a while. The game also offers more than 500 objects for you to piece together. The colorful and bright graphics are certainly an eye catcher for kids.Show Downloads
Waldo & Friends
There used to be a time when Waldo was one of the most important things on Sunday mornings. Those were the times when there were no smartphones and certainly no long internet surfing. Waldo used to come in the Sunday paper, and everyone wanted to find him first. Sometimes I would mark Waldo on the paper to signify my victory, of not only finding him first but also waking early on a Sunday morning.
Waldo & Friends cannot possibly match the experience of a real newspaper, but it does come close. The game tasks you in finding Waldo among a crowd of people. In a way, this is more of a hidden person game than a hidden object one, but nonetheless extremely entertaining. There is not much to the app than searching for the notoriously hard to spot Waldo.Show Downloads
Hidden Object by magma mobile
This game can only be recommended if you have played and ended every other game on the list. The game simply lifted a lot of freely available art and made a game with that. You can even spot emoticons in the mix because, why not.
That being said, the game is fairly addictive and fun to play, hence it is on the list. On one hand, I was a little disappointed about the shameless lack of effort but on the other game was quite engaging and fun to play. I didn’t feel this conflicted since choosing what to do when people were singing happy birthday to me.Show Downloads
Hidden Object games for Android are a great way to pass some quality time. These games will not only keep you occupied but also engage the young ones in the fun.
What do you like most about these games? Is it the simplicity of the gameplay or the excitement of finding the objects?
