Best 10 Inch Android Tablets: Top Notch to Buy

The 10 inch tablet is perfect for those who want to expand the size of their screen and get the full experience during movies and video games. I enjoy them because you can attach an external keyboard and actually get some work done without having to look at a tiny screen.

Although I am more inclined to choose a 7 inch tablet for reading purposes, 10 inch Android tablets make for perfect gifts to the gaming and movie lovers. Another cool thing is that many of these tablets offer better processing and higher resolution than the smaller counterparts.

Let’s take a look at the best 10 inch Android tablets so you can figure out which options work best for you.

1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4: $249.00

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

High Revolution and Highly Functional

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is one of the more popular 10 inch tablets on the market. It’s nice because you start with 16 GB flash memory, giving you plenty of space for storage before having to expand.

Not only that, but you can expand to 64GB through the SD Card slot. One of my favorite parts of this device is you receive up to $300 in free services and other content.

Why should you buy it?

  1. WXGA Display
  2. It comes with a powerful Snapdragon processor
  3. The IR blaster lets you use the tablet as a remote around your home

2. ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10: $199.99

Several Options to Choose From

The ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 comes in at a rather affordable price in the 10 inch tablet market, and you have the option to choose a 16 or 32GB device. The Intel processor is quite reasonable, and it actually measures in at 10.1 inches, to give you a little extra space for watching videos and playing games.

Why should you buy it?

  1. The speakers are loud and clear
  2. 1.3 pounds isn’t too bad for a larger device
  3. It comes with a 2 GB RAM memory

3. Motorola XOOM: $324.95

Nice Storage Options

The Motorola XOOM is a surprising success for Motorola, and it shows, since the device provides high-quality rear and front facing cameras to take as many pictures as you want.

The 1280 x 800 native resolution is not too shabby, and you even receive plenty of storage to start out with. I noticed that the tablet runs smoothly when you have multiple apps open, and you don’t have to worry about much lag.

Lenovo Yoga 10 HD

Tons of Battery Life

The Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ has a remarkable battery that lasts for up to 18 hours. The device is a little heavier than other 10 inch tablets we have tested, but it’s not the worst thing in the world. The device doesn’t come with any hard disk space, but you can expand your storage with SD cards.

The most unusual part of this tablet is the three usage modes that come with it. There is one for reading, one for viewing and another for gaming. All of these modes are designed just for the use, so you don’t have to sacrifice anything.

Why should you buy it?

  1. It comes with full HD
  2. The device comes with a kickstand for designing and working
  3. It has a 178 degree viewing angle so a bunch of people can crunch around the screen to watch a movie

Fast and Sleek

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is known for a wonderful design. Not to mention the RAM is perfect for running tons of games and apps without seeing any problems with the speed on your device.

I enjoy the fact that it comes with a fingerprint scanner, even though this technology doesn’t always seem to work. Put the tablet in ultra power saving mode just in case you need to preserve battery in an emergency.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is an extension of the Galaxy Note phablet, and it brings many of the features you might find on that phone. The 32 GB flash memory is just about the best you can find in the 10 inch tablet market, and the 8MP rear camera is just wonderful for grabbing striking photos of your family.

Keep in mind that the camera also shoots in 1080p HD and comes with a flash. If you are looking for a tablet to make videos and shoot pictures, this is the best option.

Google Nexus 10

A Nice Design, but a Tad Pricey

The Google Nexus 10 is one of my favorite 10 inch tablets, but I can’t justify the high price. You get just about everything. but there are options for cheaper tablets that offer similar features. Use the front and rear cameras to grab nice photos and videos.

The 32 GB hard disk is one of the best in its class, and the native resolution works wonders for watching videos and viewing photos. The design is quite slick. I didn’t have any problems with it slipping out of my hands, and it seems to have a slight bend around the edges for a comfortable fit.

Why should you buy it?

  1. The Exynos 1.7 GHz processor keeps you happy when you run multiple apps
  2. The WiFi and Bluetooth run surprisingly fast at all times
  3. The 2560 x 1600 resolution is just perfect

You may not have ever heard of the Dragon Touch A1X, but it is ideal for you bargain seekers. The processor is designed to support 3D gaming, and the memory allows you to download as many apps as you want.

There are two cameras on the device, front and back, meaning that you get so much for your money with this sleek little tablet. The design is similar to what you might find from a tablet in the $300 range.

You also get a 1 year warranty and full support from the TabletExpress team, which is not always the case from other companies.

iRulu 10 inch Quad Core Android Tablet

Minimal Design, but Affordable

This is the cheapest tablet we have on the list, but the iRulu Quad Core Android Tablet doesn’t skimp on power. Sure, the design is a little bland, but the processor isn’t too bad.

Let me be perfectly clear: This is a budget 10 inch tablet, so the typing is a little weird, it doesn’t feel like the device is all that expensive and I’m not sure about the durability.

That said, it is nice for browsing the internet, playing some light games and using your standard apps. I would recommend this for a younger kid or for a second tablet to just have sitting on your couch.

Why should you buy it?

  1. Front and rear facing cameras
  2. The connectivity is quite nice
  3. Plug in a 32GB SD card to expand the size of your storage

Lenovo IdeaTab A10-70

Not Only for Kids

The Lenovo IdeaTab A10-70 comes in 32 and 16 GB versions, so you have a choice when making your purchase. It’s one of the better 10 inch Android tablets, because you get a nice processor and solid storage options depending on what you plan on using the device for.

The 9-hour battery life isn’t too shabby either. 1.21 pounds is a little heavy, but remember, it’s a tablet and all tablets are pretty light compared to your computer. The front-facing speakers are perfect for watching videos and playing games.

Why should you buy it?

  1. You get Dolby Digital Plus speakers
  2. The tablet is 9mm thick, making for a rather slim device
  3. Change your display settings with the Smart Sidebar option
  4. Sync your contacts and secure your device with the Lenovo apps

That’s it for the best 10 inch Android tablets! The larger Android tablets are great for watching movies and playing games, since you get a larger screen and the processing power is easier to pack into the larger device.

I personally prefer 7 inch tablets, because they can fit into my hands a little better, so you can check those out as well.
