Most of the apps run off-line as well, so you won’t have any trouble accessing them during treacherous trekking trips where connectivity is an issue.
Note: the best trekking apps for Android where tested on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone. All the apps worked perfectly fine and no problems were faced during the testing. I wasn’t able to fully test out the apps on an actual trekking trip personally, however I have full faith that the apps will perform as well as they did while I was testing. Some of the features will require an active Internet connection.

Despite its long and unwieldy name, the app itself is precise and easy to understand. If you’re on a trekking trip, this is a must have app; just in case you get a little bit lost and need to consult a physical map.
