It takes less than a minute and is super simple. Here is what you have to do:

  3. Look for the “About Phone” option and open it.
  4. Find the “Android Version” tab.
  5. Rapidly press the “Android Version” tab until something pops up. Usually what pops up is the icon of your latest Android Version.

  • Android 8.0 – The latest version allows you to play around and control some sea creatures on your phone.
  • Android 7.0 – A spin-off based on a popular Japanese mobile game, Neko Atsume – Android Neko. The game is pretty cute, and you can even feed the cats.

But it just gives me a blue screen with a black octopus that I move around the screen
Seems like a waste of space? …….

    1. Hi Feebz, thanks for sharing your thoughts to us. Congratulations on finding the easter egg for Android Oreo. True, it can be a waste of space but it’s designed to be a reward system for those who like tinkering their devices. Furthermore, such easter egg wouldn’t take that much space. In our opinion, it should be taking less than 1MB of space.

  2. I followed your steps and an old screen saver I had used popped up. Overlaying the screensaver is an image of 2 orange circles inside each other. In the middle is a white circle.it pulses colour if I tap it, but does nothing else. It us quite useless just feels like an uninvited foreign body in my phone.
Is there no risk with these…..malware or worse?

    1. Did as instructed all I see is an orange circle with white center. Does absolutely Nothing. How can this be considered a “reward”. Should be called a Waste of Time if anything

    2. I got locked out of my phone even though my pin is 100% accurate. After that I can only access the “top drop-down bar” (I don’t know what it’s called) and I saw the android Easter egg icon there. If this is their idea of a gift, I dont want one.

  3. I found my Easter egg, thought it was a virus…lol! I got the letter N each line in a pastel color, which I believe is the Japanese version game for my Android device…. 7. Something. Now I need to see what to do with it.

  4. Yeah…found the empty dish in my short cut drop screen… ? dish…bits..? fish..chicken. Wtf? I found it because a mini clip 8ball pool gameis throwing my local off to the middle east… The icon ended up sayin..”android east/…”.. Thought i found my issue. (Such a reward)???????

  5. I have found the phrase Android Egg, but did not know what to do to activate it. Thanks, now where did i find it to try that out. These eggs are in really odd places: the advaced feature section of wallpapers.
