You will also be able to make the app read web pages. Play, pause and stop the narration with a dedicated button right on the bottom of the screen. There are a lot of languages supported, but you will need to download them first. It is a great app to listen to the newspaper if you’re into the thing.

If you’re traveling abroad, then you might need the services of this app. While it is not the best translation app for Android available or a replacement for some great language learning apps, it does the job well. If you’re strictly looking for an app to convert text to speech for storybooks, then this is the app you should get. I have personally used this app to listen to storybooks and have a very pleasant experience using it. Although the narration is sometimes too robotic for my taste, it does help when you are working on something else and need to listen to a good story in the background.

These apps are not perfect by any means and we have a long way to go before we get a stellar Android app to convert text to speech. However, if you are looking for simple conversions these apps will do a perfectly fine job.
