10 Best Birthday Reminder Apps for Android
1. Google Calendar
Google Calendar is the no-brainer item on this list since it is compatible with all Android devices.
It might be the stock calendar app for some Android devices, but you can easily use it to remind you of your friends’ and family’s birthdays.
You can even connect your Facebook account to Google Calendar to make remembering birthdays even easier.
The app is free to download and it’s heck easy to use. And really, if you’re the type who owns a smartphone and don’t a digital calendar as a reminder app, then you should really learn this now.
2. Facebook
Again, this is another “no brainer” app to use for birthday reminders. Facebook already has most of your closest friends as contacts.
It has their birthday data as well, so you get reminded by the app when a birthday is happening.
Facebook is great for a lot of things, being the social media giant that it is. But it also reminds you of birthdays quite well, and people who are on Facebook are less likely to forget a birthday now.
Of course, the app is only as good as the data it has. If your friends do not input their birthdays, then you won’t get a reminder.
If your friends are not on Facebook, then the problem is the same.
But as a general birthday reminder app for Android, Facebook works well.
3. Birthdays for Android
As the name of the app suggests, the app does one thing and it does it well. Birthdays for Android reminds you of birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions that you input into the app.
It syncs with your contact list. So if you happen to have your contacts from Google or from Facebook, then you can import the data from there.
Other features include being reminded which day of the week any given birthday falls on. You can also export data to your storage, so you can transfer to another Android device with ease.
4. Birdays – Birthday reminder
We don’t know if the developer of this app called Birdays was just trying to be cute, but here you have it.The logo of the app makes it feel like it’s a productivity app, and that’s the vibe you’ll get when you use this birthday reminder app.
It does the main thing well – which is to remind you of birthdays, but then it has a number of other features as well.
You can check whose birthdays are upcoming in a “by month” view. You can also check which famous personalities have the same birthdays as you or with your friends.
The app has a pretty nice interface, and it looks modern on the whole – unlike other birthday reminder apps. The app is free to download, so check it out.
5. To Do Reminder with Alarm
If you find yourself missing out on important tasks and things to do because your memory fails you, it will follow that you’d be that guy who also forgets birthdays.
Good thing that this app, To Do Reminder, does its job reminding you of tasks, and reminds you even of birthdays!
So for the multitude of things you need to remember — daily work tasks, meetings, lunch and dinner dates, and even stuff that you need to buy from the grocery — we all need an app to remind us of these.
The app called To Do Reminder reminds us of these things – and it even reminds you of your friends’ and family’s birthdays. The app syncs this information from Facebook, Google, and your phonebook, so it can remind you to greet your friends on time.
That’s a big plus when the app already reminds you of other important stuff as well. Download it free from the link below.
6. Contacts’ Birthdays
To use Contacts’ Birthdays, you need Google Contacts. You need to sync it with Google’s app to get better reminders of special events.
One great thing about the app is how easy it is to use. Also, the look is basic and modern compared to other apps that give you the early 2000s vibe.
You can add as many reminders as you want for a single contact, so you won’t get flooded by a list of too many reminders.
7. Birthday Countdown
If birthdays are really a big deal in your family and circle of friends, then Birthday Countdown can help you.
Unlike the other birthday reminder apps on the list, Birthday Countdown will keep track of how long it is before the big event.
It will show you how many days are left up to the last second. Once the countdown is finished, you’ll get a notification of the event.
This is great if you want to prepare for someone’s birthday. Using this app, you’ll know how much time you have left and if you can still push through with your plans.
8. Birthday Calendar Reminder
The overall look of the Birthday Calendar Reminder is too adorable to not include in this list.
You’ll have a view of the entire year with balloons marking the birthdays you add. You can set an option on when you can get reminders.
If you’re family and friends have the same app installed on their phones, you can share the calendar you have. It’s also possible to export and sync saved events on an existing calendar.
However, you’ll need to pay a small amount to unlock the extra features.
9. My Birthday Reminder
My Birthday Reminder is a great app for busy and forgetful people.
Besides reminding you of birthdays, you can also use the app to make e-cards! Upload a photo of the celebrant, edit, and send the e-card.
For its birthday reminder tool, it’s simple and easy-to-understand. You can also use it to remind you of meetings, anniversaries, and other special events.
10. Family Shared Calendar: FamCal
The last on the list is the FamCal, the Family Shared Calendar. Using this will lower your chances of forgetting birthdays in your family.
You need to log in using a family account. You can make this or ask another relative if they already have one.
Then, you can set schedules, add reminders, and even plan with your family.
The great thing is that you don’t need to set up the reminders if someone already did it. You can rely on your family to do that.

hi,
can you suggest a free android birthday app with below features.
1. it should store all the data on cloud (even i change my phone i can restore data).
2. optional feature to send automatic message on whatsapp.
thanks
Hi, Prashanth! I believe your best option is Birthdays Reminder. While the app doesn’t allow you to store data on the cloud from the app, you can import birthdays from Google+, Facebook, and your contacts, so just store each of the birthdays you want saved in one of these services and you can re-import all of the birthdays to the app if you get a new device. Birthdays Reminder also allows for WhatsApp integration.
