How to Download Samsung Galaxy S6 Stock Fonts for Any Phone

Fonts can be a form of art. On the S6 you can be bold; you can be Cool Jazz, but you don’t ever have to be regular unless you just want to be. What if you don’t have a Samsung Galaxy S6? That doesn’t matter, as we are about to demonstrate.

You can have the fonts on the S6. You can have quite a few more fonts if you’d like. If you are seeking a particular style, we can show you where to get it. You can make any mundane word look majestic with the right font.

Method 1: Lots ‘O Fonts Via Zip File (For Rooted Devices with Custom Recovery)

It is highly recommended that you perform a full backup just in case something does not go as planned. As with any time you flash, ensure that you have adequate battery—70% or more. The flashable version should clean the existing APK files so that they do not cause any problems in the future.

If you’re an S6 purist seeking only those fonts present on the phone out-of-the-box, this may not be the method for you. However, if the possibility of having those fonts and many, many, more interests you, look no further. If you do not have root, and don’t want root, go to Method 2 below. This method seems to work on all Samsung ROMs 5.0.2 and above.

Step 1: Enable Unknown Sources

From Security in the Settings menu, enable Unknown Sources so you download and install apps outside of those in the Google-Play store.

Step 2: Download File Manager or Package Installer

This is optional, but highly recommended.

Step 3: Download Zip to PC

Step 4: Connect Device

Connect your device to your computer via USB cable.
The original USB cable that came with your device is sure to work, provided it’s in good condition.

Step 5: Transfer File

Transfer the file you downloaded to the SD card of your device.
Once you are finished, you can disconnect your Android from your PC.

Step 6: Install

If you are using Astro File Manager, select the App Manager from Tools and tap on Install.
If you are using a package installer like Easy Installer, simply select the file to install from the Local tab and tell your device to Install Selected Apps.

Using a Custom Recovery on a Rooted Device to Recover from Incorrect Permissions:

Step 1: Boot into Recovery Mode

This can differ by device, but usually involves a certain key combination.

Step 2: Choose Advanced

Find and select the Advanced option from CWM or TWRP Recovery.

Step 3: Choose Fix Permissions.

Step 4: Select Wipe Dalvik Cache

Method 2: Still Quite a Few Fonts (Does Not Require Root)

There are a few ways you can make this process easier for yourself. One way to is download a file manager, like Astro File Manager or ES File Explorer. You can also use a package installer such as APK Installer or Easy Installer.

With a package installer, you will find it simpler to batch install, uninstall, or share the files. It can also make it easier for you to fine-tune permissions and many installers provide security too.

While there are only 341 fonts contained within this file, it does not require root.
