What is a bookmark?

Generally, a bookmark is a thin card used to track a reader’s progress when reading a book.  But what is a bookmark in Chrome? Well, it serves the same purpose 一 to find a place 一 on the web. A bookmark in Chrome is a shortcut to a previously viewed web page allowing you to view it on the go without having to search for it again on the web.

When a page is bookmarked, Chrome stores the URL, title, and other contents of the page and displays it when you search for similar terms in the omnibox. For example, if you bookmark this page and then search for “how to create” in the search bar, Google will show you this bookmarked page.

What should you bookmark?

You can bookmark your favorite and most frequently visited websites and web pages. This can include your business website, the sites from where you acquire knowledge, social media sites if you don’t use apps, etc.
