What’s good about an Android device is that it has a lot of features that are helpful and important to Android users.
But what if these features start to show bugs and aren’t helpful anymore? One of which is the Android’s Do-not-disturb feature that keeps turning on.
There are a lot of complaints about the do-not-disturb feature on Android lately. There could be various reasons why this happened to some Android users so read this article carefully to know which of the following methods will best resolve your device’s issue.
Let’s start with the simplest method. Before you do anything else on your Android device, make sure your device isn’t set to an automatic scheduled do-not-disturb time.
Check your settings
To do this, go to your Settings > Do not disturb.
Turn off ‘Set Time’ function
Now, you’ll see the Manual and Set Time function. Tap on Set Time to turn on/off your scheduled do-not-disturb time.
Some users have this issue on their Android devices. The case is that the manual do-not-disturb shortcut on their device’s quick settings on dropdown menu keeps turning on. If this goes the same to your device, follow these steps:
Turn off through dropdown menu
Try turning off your do-not-disturb mode through your device’s dropdown menu. It usually won’t turn off when users have this issue. Therefore, proceed to next step.
Turn off through settings
Now, go to settings > Do not disturb. Tap on Manual.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the do-not-disturb shortcut on your dropdown menu will be turned off.
Use an app
If the first and second method did not work, then here’s the last method you can try. Use an app called Do Not Disturb Toggle.
This app helps Android users to turn on/off their do-not-disturb modes on a widget. It runs on Android 6.0 and up.
Install the app
Before you can use the widget, you will first have to install the app via Play Store.
Open the app
Once installed, Tap on Open. Then it will take you to the “DND” permission page. Tap on DND Toggle.
To let your device run the app, you will have to allow permission for the app to make changes in your device’s do-not-disturb mode. Tap Allow to grant permission.
Use it from your app drawer
Go to your app drawer or home and find DND Toggle app. Manually tap the app to turn on/off your do-not-disturb mode. It will show a quick prompt saying Normal or Quiet to let you know which mode you’re on. And, you’re done!
Is the Do Not Disturb Toggle app free?
Yes. It is completely free to install and doesn’t require in-app purchases.
Are there any other DND apps I can use?

Is there a DND app for my Android Wear?

Do-not-disturb feature on Android is indeed very useful especially when you are in a meeting, attending an important gathering, playing games, or just want to have a good night sleep. But, if it’s stuck to never disturbing you forever, then it would start to feel like it’s not a smartphone anymore.
This has caused a lot of trouble to some who have a scheduled meeting or something very important for them to be notified about. Let’s just hope that Google will start looking into this issue.
If you think your device is having a different issue or a worse one, then do not experiment on your own. It is best recommended that you take it to the repair shop and let it the experts fix it for you.
