Why do some social platforms survive while others become deserted, collecting digital dust? (Think Facebook vs MySpace.) What does Instagram have that Flickr doesn’t? Both offer quality photos and videos, but it’s actually Flickr that has always allowed for more photo specs and longer videos.
However, Instagram is leading the way in terms of being social. It can be a window to people and places you would otherwise never see, and vice versa. Some people make thousands of dollars off of a single Instagram post. But that can be pretty difficult to study and share if you don’t know how to save videos from Instagram to your Android phone. And that’s what we’re here for.
Method 1: Using a File Manager
If you already have a file manager, you already have the means for saving videos. For this example, we’ll be using B1 Archiver, but there are plenty of others as well. AndroZip File Manager is another popular option.

Add .mp4 Extension
Choose Rename and add .mp4 to the end of the file name.
Now when you tap on the video file, your Android should help you find the appropriate player to watch your video.

You might be wondering, “Why doesn’t Instagram just include the ability to download videos directly from its app?” The answer is that this could be treacherous ground for Instagram, because of copyright infringements.
Keep in mind that you are expected to abide by copyright laws as well. Don’t claim credit for something someone else created. Instagram’s copyright rules indicate that you need to get permission from the owner of the video to repost it.
You could put your new free time and energy towards becoming an Instagram photo and video star. You can also share the videos with family and friends who don’t have Instagram this way.
Problems? Feel free to tell us about it below. Once you are up and running, you will never have to worry about finding and reloading the same video over and over again. Now you can enjoy your videos efficiently.
