Do you want to use Samsung Pay but your phone does not have NFC?
If you do, there’s hope for you yet. Your best alternative is… the Samsung Pay mini app. In this article, we’ll get to know this app, its features, and its services. More importantly, we’ll teach you how to use Samsung Pay mini.
So what is this app?
It’s a stripped-down or a more basic version of the Samsung Pay. Since Samsung Pay does not support smartphones that don’t have NFC, this version is pretty helpful for those whose mid-range devices don’t support NFC.
This app enables users to make digital transactions like making payments using Unified Payment Interface (UPI), Mobikwik, and Paytm.
Also, the mini version does not work if you don’t have an internet connection. So it’s a more limited version of the real deal: the Samsung Pay. If you want to use more features and you own a compatible phone, use the original Samsung Pay version. Here’s how to use it.
Samsung Pay mini is a great alternative.
There’s still plenty of things you can do with this app. And we’ll list each down here: from sending money, requesting money, making merchant payments, to paying bills.
So before we learn how to use Samsung Pay mini, let’s get to know the app first in detail.

How to Pay Using Mobile Wallet
Now that you’ve added a mobile wallet, you can start making payments. Note that the process is the same when you pay with UPI.
Just follow these steps:
Find and Open the Card
For both UPI and mobile wallet payments, open the card and tap on your desired option: Scan Code or Send option.
To access the cards, just swipe up from the home screen, lock screen, or app screen. Then swipe to find the card that you are planning to use.
Then just tap on either the Send option or Scan Code option.
For the “Send” option, just enter the mobile number of your recipient. Or you can just find the recipient’s name on your contact list.
But for the “Scan Code” option, you just scan the QR code provided to you by the recipient. This is the better option when you’re paying at the store or shop.
Enter the amount
Once you’ve chosen the recipient, just enter the amount that you’d like to send or pay. Then tap “Next” (found at the right-bottom) to send.
Before sending, confirm the details. Make sure that everything’s correct: the recipient’s name, the mobile number, and the amount.

Once verified, just tap “Done” and the payment has been sent successfully.

After creating your profile and verifying your number, you will then be presented with UPI-enabled banks. Select a bank and tap next.
