If you are one of those people who regularly use their smartphone as a regular phone, then you might feel the need to record some conversations. An app like Automatic Call Recorder Pro can prove instrumental in your daily telephonic conversations. I know personally, I have wanted to record a phone conversation countless times but didn’t have the proper tools to do so.
There are a lot of phone recording apps for Android available on the Google play store. However, very few of them actually work flawlessly. Automatic Call Recorder Pro is one of the good apps, but there are some downsides to using it.
While the app is not extremely expensive to obtain, still you need a good reason to purchase it. Is it advised to buy it? And the answer is:
This might not be the definitive answer you are looking for, but it would be wrong to either recommend this app or deem it a complete failure. The app has so much to offer but sometimes the things on offer are really baffling. This is the kind of average sometimes work flawlessly but on others fail miserably.
In my personal experience using this app for 10 conversations, Automatic Call Recorder Pro worked on 7 of them while recording faint sounds on three. Read on ahead to make your opinion about Automatic Call Recorder Pro because at the end of the day it’s your hard earned money that is at stake.
There are a lot of features available on Automatic Call Recorder Pro, but then again we don’t need a ton to make recordings. Sure, it can automatically record any called you make, and it does so in convenient style. Not one time I had to fondle the smartphone to find the record button. Automatic in the name really lives up to the expectations. Automatic Call Recorder Pro does record calls automatically, and it is highly convenient to just simply run it in the background at all times.
Whatever you need from a good call recorder on Android, Automatic Call Recorder Pro delivers it. Some unique features make the app interesting to use. For example, if you don’t want to record each and every conversation you have on your smartphone, you can enable selective recording.
This is where things get interesting, instead of having an on-screen record button the app allows you to shake your smartphone to start the recording. It is a very convenient way to enable recording while keeping your ear on the phone.
Automatic Call Recorder Pro also allows you to have limited customization to the recording. You can select a few formats to record the audio and select the saving location on your device. The app also has cloud-based backup services which are great if you record conversations on a daily basis. I can imagine a businessman recording all of his telephonic dealings without the need of having a pen out to note down details.
You can even select special contacts that you always want to record. Or if you want to, you can simply ignore some contacts that will never be recorded on your device.
After you have successfully recorded a conversation, the app will allow you to do some things with it. You can play the call to see how it was recorded, directly from the pop screen. Can save the call with a press of a button. Even if you want you can edit call notes, this comes in handy if you make a lot of calls but want to organize them in a meaningful manner for future reference.
There is a dedicated delete button that might come in handy in some mindless conversations. Although I don’t recommend it, there is also share button which allows you to share the recently made call on various platforms.
Note: A lot of countries have rules and regulations against this kind of practice, so I’d highly advise you consult the local authorities before sharing a private conversation. If the other person does not know that you are recording the conversation, it may not be applicable in the court either.
I believe that the app doesn’t record the call but actually taps in the speaker to obtain the audio. This results in your voice being prominent while the other person seems somewhat muted. I may be wrong, but this might be the only logical reason the app doesn’t capture crystal-clear audio from the other side as well. This is my only gripe from the app, well apart from completely failing to record some conversations, that is.
I have recently researched the best call recorders on Android, and it’s a shame that this is the app which ranked the highest. The matter how many problems there are with Automatic Call Recorder Pro, it is still miles ahead than the competition. Some smartphones do come with built-in recording features which are exponentially better than any app you will get from the play store. If you are going to purchase Automatic Call Recorder Pro, you should be well aware of the limitations of the technology used here.
Automatic Call Recorder Pro is a great app with a good selection of features. However, it fails in delivering a reliable experience. I feel that if an app fails even a single time in doing what it was meant to do, then it is hard for me to feel great about it. As this app provides a crucial service, there is a very little margin of error when it comes to actual recordings.
Automatic Call Recorder Pro has a nice design and works well when it does; the problem is the few other times when it doesn’t work as intended. If you are in the market for a good call recorder, Automatic Call Recorder Pro will do you just fine. If you want to record your calls with greater accuracy and perfection, I would recommend that you seek external recorders that can provide a higher level of accuracy in recording. Now that you have all the information you need to make a sound decision, it is up to you to decide whether it is worth to buy Automatic Call Recorder Pro or not.
