Motorola isn’t dead. Sure, when the big mobile phone manufacturers started a race, Motorola wasn’t able to catch up on the relay. But first, let’s say your doubts out load, shall we? Is the Moto G7 really worth your hard-earned money? There are a lot of best-buy Motorola phones available in the market but on this article, we are going to find out why Moto G7 deserves to be at the top spot.

Is the Moto G7 Really the Best Motorola Phone?
When it comes to choosing a mobile phone, what we initially consider are its performance, affordability, and durability. More often than not, we will either find two of these factors on one phone but would fall short on another. Motorola made sure that their Moto G series will bring in together all these factors into one amazing device.
1. DURABILITY
First off, the Moto G7 feels elegant and comfortable on the hand. You can easily use the phone one-handed without having too much effort. How many Android phones can do that nowadays?
The totality of the Moto G7 is made from Gorilla Glass 3; thick, and splash-proof. You might not want to submerge the device into the water but drizzle or water splashes won’t ruin your device. And because the back of the Moto G7 is also made out of glass, you will need a protector to avoid it looking like an unusable scotch-tape.
It has a fingerprint button which is located at the back of the device and it works absolutely fast. The response is almost instant and you don’t need to try opening it a gazillion times like the iPhone.
We also find it cute that the Motorola logo is swiftly placed on the scanner. Plus, it also has face detection for those people who don’t have a prominent fingerprint.
2. PERFORMANCE
Moto G7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 which provides stable performance. You can run multiple apps without lagging. It is equipped with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage space. You can expand it using a 512 GB external memory. It runs an Android Pie (9.0), Octa-core.
It can endure long hours with its 3,000mAh battery. However, it would be more honest to say that the Moto G7 Power has topped the game on this with its 5,000mAh. But a 15-min charging time for a Moto G7 will already last you for up to 9 hours because of its TurboPower feature.
3. DISPLAY
Compared to the hottest Samsung S10 with the 6.4inch display, the Moto G7 doesn’t fall far behind with a 6.2-inch screen. It has a 2270×1080 resolution with an IPS LCD touchscreen at 16M colors.
The resolution of its screen is remarkable for its price compared to other high-end phones which average about $900-$1,000. The colors are slightly subtle but are sharp in the eyes and look seamless in most situations.
4. CAMERA
The Moto G7 has a dewdrop notch in the front with an HDR 8MP camera while the back has 12MP main (with an f1/8 aperture) and a 5MP depth cameras. It is not as top-notch as the high-end Samsung but it definitely is acceptable. You will be able to get a slow-motion video, a portrait mode, and a good low-light quality picture for just a fraction of the cost.
Your photos will come out decently but with lower contrast and the colors will appear little soft. Take a group selfie of up to 5 people and have everyone smiling to trigger the Moto G7’s auto smile capture.
Moto G7 Notable Features
There are a few notable features that you can do with your Moto G7 and which will make you love this phone even more.
Do two full twists of your wrist and this gesture activates the camera. This is by far our ultimate favorite. It also has an always-on feature that lets you view the time by hovering your hand over the screen when the device is locked. Activate the screen and you will notice a small bar on the bottom that slides to navigate through different actions.
If you are in a meeting or do not want to be bothered, holding the phone face down triggers the Do Not Disturb mode.

I never have, and never will pay a lot of money for a “smart” phone. My current phone, a G6 Play, cost me $80. It’s been a great phone which does everything I need.
I won’t be running out to buy a new G7 and you won’t see me standing in line to buy it or any other new phone. But, when I finally need a new phone, I won’t hesitate to buy a Motorola again.
