To move pictures from one folder to another on Android Gallery app, follow the below steps: 

Step 1: 

Open Gallery app on your Android device

Step 2:

Go to Albums

Step 3:

Select the album from which you would like to move a picture

Step 4:

Now, select the picture you want to move to another folder by long tapping it

Step 5:

Select Add to album option on the bottom menu

Step 6:

Select the album where you would like to move the selected picture 

Note: You can create a new album or a private album to store the picture safely. 

Step 7:

Next, tap Move to confirm

Note: You can also copy the image from one folder to another by hitting the Copy option

Once you select Move, the selected picture will be moved to the destination folder

Moving pictures between folders is possible with File Manager as well. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1:

Open the File Manager app on your Android device

Step 2:

Select Images

Step 3:

Select the image(s) you would like to move

Tip: Swipe left and go to Albums to quickly find the picture 

Step 4:

On the bottom menu, tap the Move button

Step 5:

Select the destination storage platform you would like to save the image in

Tip: To store locally on your device, select Internal shared storage

Step 6:

At this point, select the folder where you want to move the image to

Finally, tap Paste on the bottom menu
