Motorola announces a new and improved Razr with 5G connectivity

Nine months since the launch of the first Razr phone, Motorola has announced yet another upgraded version of the device. Aside from the plethora of new upgrades, the new Razr now comes with 5G connectivity.

Let’s now dig into its new upgraded features, shall we?

The new generation Motorola Razr comes with 5G connectivity

On the front, the device will sport a 2.7-inch touchscreen display. There is no need for you to open your device to see alerts, notifications, and messages, as it is now possible by just looking at the front screen. Meanwhile, the inside sports a 6.2-inch “FlexView” OLED HD screen display with a 219 aspect ratio.

One of its notable updates is the 5G connectivity. And more than just faster connectivity, users will also get to experience upgraded performance speeds. The previous Snapdragon 710 has been replaced by a better chipset, the Snapdragon 765G.

The battery has also been upgraded from 2,510mAh to 2,800mAh for longer life that charges through a 15W charger that comes out of the box. Both RAM and storage are also bumped up from 6GB RAM and 128GB storage of its predecessor to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Many features were upgraded in the new Razr smartphone

The company also didn’t forget about its cameras. Now, the new Razr phone has an upgraded 48-megapixel sensor for the main camera.

Also, the camera module features OIS and a ToF sensor for advanced laser autofocus. The front camera has also been upgraded from 5 megapixels to 20 megapixels.

In a meeting with the company and the press, Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience, Rubén Castaño, said that Motorola’s intention behind its high-end range is to offer “radically different solutions” from the market standard, such as the launch last year of the first smartphone with a folding screen and clamshell format, the original Motorola Razr -inspired in turn by the classic feature phone with a cover of the American brand.

Now, Motorola’s new Razr will launch at T-Mobile this fall in two colors: Blush Gold and Polished Graphite.

But here’s the thing…

T-Mobile has not shared a specific launch date for the device or the official pricing. We will have to wait for either Motorola or T-Mobile’s official word.
