Post-It launches an Android app to digitize and organize sticky notes
Post-it’s little sticky notes are a staple to both students and professionals alike. It is now more than just reminding us of important tasks to accomplish in the office, passing down important things to our colleagues, or what chapters to study. And it is even useful in the house in creating reminders like to take out the trash, fold the laundry, or do grocery shopping.
Now, Post-it has announced that it is launching an Android app. Although the sticky notes has proven to be useful, wait ’til you see what this app can do. Aside from from creating reminders and memos, it can also digitize your actual Post-it notes. This allows you to organize them the way you want it.
Post-it Android app is coming your way…
Are you a big fan of Post-it notes and use them on a daily basis? Well, then this app is perfect for you. The app allows you to digitize your actual Post-it notes. So, you can bring it whenever you are on the go and leave the original note in your desk.
And let us face it, these notes are pretty small and you can lose it very easily. The app lets you create backups of your notes so you are still good to go even if you lose or accidentally throw out a couple of them.
But there is no need to digitize your notes, you can still create new digital ones on the app. And if you ever need editing or changing of the notes, you can easily do so as well.
How to make notes on the Post-it Android app?
If you are wondering how to create notes on the app, it is a pretty simple process. If you have downloaded the app properly, it should run with no hiccups at all.
After opening up the app, click on the “+” sign to create a new digital note. The same step is used when you want to turn your actual Post-it notes to digital ones. Just snap a photo of it and vòila!
The app also has the ability to help you organize your saved notes by creating boards. You can also easily join different boards if you feel like combining them.
The camera icon would open up the phone’s camera, and all you have to do is take a picture of the notes. You can capture up to 200 individual Post-it notes, so if you ever use Post-it notes in a mass quantity this feature can be extremely useful.
Never forget an important task/reminder every again
But design-wise, the app is basic. There is not much floating around that can get your attention. But for something that is originally just for taking down notes, it definitely has evolved to be something more than that.
There are marker pens that are at your disposal. You can use them to express your creativity and make your notes unique. Furthermore, if you tap the note button on the bottom left-hand corner, it will bring you to the Post-it brand color wheel.
And to make use of the available colors, simply arc your finger across from one side to the other. One limitation of the app though is, you won’t be able to make a list like the ones in Google Keep.
But aside from that, the app should serve its purpose of reminding you of important tasks everywhere you go, even without your trusted Post-it notes and pen.
