Fast charging support for the upcoming Galaxy M22, FCC listing suggests
Samsung is gearing up to launch a smartphone from its M-series lineup –– Galaxy M22.
The unannounced Galaxy M22 with the model number SM-M225FV has apparently received the FCC certification. This was spotted by the folks from MySmartPrice.
The FCC listing reveals some of the major features especially around the unit’s fast-charging capabilities. According to the listing, the Galaxy M22 will support 25W fast charging.
This means that your device will take less time to fully charge compared to other devices without the fast charging support.
Yet, there’s a catch…
The Galaxy M22 will likely come with only a 15W fast charger in the box.
Now, let’s take a look at the other details revealed in the FCC listing of Samsung‘s Galaxy M22.
More of the Galaxy M22 FCC listing
It looks like Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its newest addition to the M-series –– Galaxy M22. The budget smartphone has visited the FCC website ahead of its official debut.
As mentioned in the FCC listing, the device with the model number SM-M225FV (Galaxy M22) will come with 25W fast charging capabilities (9V, 2.77A). In the device status information image from the FCC documents, it reads dc 9V 2.77A –– this is the 25W charging.
But, the production description on the FCC website reveals that Samsung will only come with a 15W fast charging brick (9V, 1.67A) in the box.
Aside from the fast charging capabilities, the Galaxy M22 will have 4GB of RAM and is expected to run on Android 11 out of the box.
As also expected, it will come with OneUI 3.0 on top of the Android mobile operating system.
The device’s 6,000 mAh battery has not yet been officially confirmed.
However, it has already been anticipated that the Galaxy M22 will feature this battery capacity since the Galaxy M-series focuses on smartphones that offer a monstrous battery life.
If this is true, the Galaxy M22 will be only one of Samsung’s smartphones with 6,000 mAh for a battery.
