How to Stream Android Screen on PC – 4 Easy Ways

The 1st Way: Cast Your Screen Wirelessly to Your PC

The first way is one of the most convenient ways to stream Android screen PC. You do not need to buy any cables to cast your Android screen wirelessly. For you to stream your phone wirelessly to your PC, you can do the following steps:

  1. To start wireless streaming, ensure that both of your devices are connected to the same network.
  2. To ensure they are connected to the same wifi network, you can check the settings of your phone and PC. If they are connected to the same network, you can proceed to the next step. 
  3. Open your phone and find the settings icon. 
  4. Once you have found the icon, choose connection & sharing among your setting options.

  1. Among the available devices, which are shown as a list, look for the name of your PC and click on it.
  2. You are now ready to stream and you should notice that the display on your PC is the same as the display on your phone.

The 2nd Way: Use Screen Mirroring Apps

As technology continues to develop, apps are being developed every day. It is no surprise if there is an app for screen mirroring and projecting your Android screen onto your PC. There are a lot of apps available in the Play Store that you can use to seamlessly stream Android screen on PC.Β 

For our tutorial today, we are using an app called Vysor- Android control on PC. The app is user-friendly, so you shouldn’t have a hard time navigating and familiarizing yourself with it. To use the app to stream your favorite Android apps onto your PC, do the following steps:

  1. You must first download the Vysor app for your PC. 
  2. The next thing is to find a USB cable.
  3. Connect your phone to the PC by using this USB cable. 
  4. Once connected, you will be prompted to allow USB debugging on your Stream Android Screen. You will need to allow debugging, so you can proceed smoothly with the other steps.
  5. Once you have given permission for USB debugging, the next thing you should do is open the Vysor Installer on your PC.
  6. Once open, the app will prompt you when a new device is detected. 
  7. When the new device is detected, you will see the view choice. Click on that and you can control your phone with your PC. 

The 3rd Way: Use Connections Such as Micro HDMI or OTG

We have mentioned in a previous way about USB debugging. If you are not familiar with USB debugging, this process is to ensure that your phone is recognized by the PC. When the phone is recognized, we can connect our phone to our PC.Β 

You must do USB debugging first if you want to use HDMI cable to connect your phone to your PC. If you do not know how we can certainly guide you through the process.Β 

  1. Open your Android phone and click on the settings icon you can find on your home menu.
  2. Find the About phone option.

  2. Tap on the Android version at least 7 timesΒ

  1. After tapping the option 7 times, a message will say that you are now a developer
  2. If the phone has been debugged, a message will say that debugging is no longer needed as you are already a developer

Once you have become a developer, you can start downloading streaming app for Android or use your cables. Get your mini HDMI ready for the following steps.Β

  1. Once you have a mini HDMI, connect it to your PC or laptop. 
  2. After connecting it to your PC, get your phone ready.
  3. Connect your phone to the mini HDMI via a cable. 
  4. Once everything is connected, start stream Android screen on PC
  5. You can go ahead and control your Android on your PC as you want. 

The 4th Way: Stream Your Android Through Lets view Cast

If you are a Mac user, there is a way for you to stream Android screen on your Mac. For this part of the guide, we will be using another app. The app is called LetsView Cast.Β 

  1. You need to download the application on both of your devices. Download the app for your Mac and for your phone. 
  2. Before proceeding to the next steps, make sure again that both devices are connected to the same network. 
  3. Once you have the second step finished, open the app on both of your devices. 
  4. Look for screencast options and wait for the Android to recognize your Mac.
  5. Look for the name of your Mac among the recognized devices.
  6. Click on it and the mirroring should start.

  1. Congratulations but couldn’t you mention from the beginning that this only works if you use Chromecast?

    2. Google cast app only show Chromecast options.

  2. Hey πŸ™‚ If I do this – would I be able to send SMS messages from my computer, using the keyboard? I have used apps like Mightytext in the past but it would be great to just be able to do it this way.
