How to Use Android Pay with PayPal

Payment using Android phones and Android Wear smartwatches have been around for a long time, but you might not know how to use Android Pay on your device.

To get started, all you need to know is that it’s easy, fun, convenient, and, most of all, secure.

One of Android Pay’s limitations, however, is its lack of supported banks and payment providers. As a solution to this problem, you can now use Android Pay with PayPal to get access to your credit card, debit card, and bank accounts linked to your PayPal.

It’s easy to use once you have it setup on your Android phone. Below are three methods you can choose from to start using Android Pay with PayPal today.

Method 1: Setup Using Android Pay

You have the option to set up your PayPal account as a payment method using the Android Pay app. The process has been made very easy for you since PayPal will be listed as a payment option like any standard card.

Use Android Pay with PayPal by following these easy steps.

Step 1: To get things going, open the Android Pay app pre-installed on your phone.

Step 2: Tap on the + icon and choose to add other payment methods. You will see an option to add PayPal listed together with other options like a debit card and credit card.

If you don’t see PayPal, you will need to check again if you have the latest version of the Android Pay app.

Step 3: After selecting PayPal, you will be asked to log in to your PayPal account. Simply follow the procedure and make sure that you fill in with the correct information.

That’s it. You have now successfully linked your two accounts.


Method 2: Connect Accounts Through PayPal

Another way to use Android Pay with PayPal is by setting it up on your PayPal app.

Step 1: To begin this method, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that you have the most recent update on your PayPal app. If you don’t have the app yet, you can use the link below to download and install it from Google Play.

Step 2: Follow the procedure to log in to your Paypal account. If you are already logged in, you can proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Go to Settings by tapping on the gear icon at the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 4: Then, choose Android Pay settings.

If you don’t see this option, you need to check again if your PayPal app is up-to-date.

Step 5: Simply follow the procedure to link your PayPal account to Android Pay.

Step 6: When you’re done, you will need to set an In-Store PIN number. You will use this PIN number during checkout.

Step 7: Select your top-up amount and your preferred location on where to draw your funds.

You will know that you have completed these steps if a PayPal options show up on your Android Pay app.


Method 3: Adding PayPal Account To Google Pay

Step 1: Start by opening the Google Pay app on your phone.

Step 2: Tap the + at the bottom of your screen, then choose to Add other payment methods.

Step 3: Select PayPal from the Other payment methods menu. You are then requested to enter your login details to access your PayPal account.

Step 4: The next step is to select a PIN which will be used to verify your purchases.

Step 5: Choose your preferred bank account then transfer funds to be used on your purchases in stores or online. When you are done, tap on the Agree and Continue button.
